Jacob Troyer has served as Chief Operating Officer of the Six Pack Companies since 2001. He also holds the position of Managing Partner at Loudoun Virginia Internet Services (LVIS) and serves as the head of operations at Del Mar BeachNet. Mr. Troyer previously served as junior partner at LVIS from 1998 to 1999, when he took over management of the company.
Mr. Troyer joined LVIS in 1996 and presided over its growth from a relative unknown dial-up Internet Service Provider to a position of dominance in the Northern Virginia business Internet sector. Under his direction, LVIS business tripled from 1999 to 2003, in a time when many dot-com companies were closing their doors. Mr. Troyer also led the infrastructure re-engineering effort at Del Mar BeachNet that revitalized the company and returned it to financial viability in 2001.
Prior to his role at LVIS, Mr. Troyer was employed as a network and systems engineer at Lockheed Martin in King of Prussia, PA. He held that position for 2 years before relocating to the Washington DC area to join LVIS. With little professional experience, but strength in networking and innate business savvy, he assumed the role of LVIS Managing Partner at age 27. Mr. Troyer was named COO of the Six Pack Companies in 2001 at the age of 29, making him the youngest of our executive team.
Mr. Troyer was born into the Amish community near Lancaster, PA and was raised in the Amish tradition. He left the faith and relocated to Philadelphia at age 18, where he attended Drexel University for two years. Mr. Troyer is currently single and resides in Northwest Washington, DC. | |
